Every measurement is taken with your home in mind, allowing me to create cabinetry that fits perfectly and works exactly the way you need it to.
Every project is different because every home is different. A growing family has different priorities to a retired couple, and a character villa in Christchurch often requires a completely different approach to a modern architectural home.

This is probably one of the questions I’m asked most often.
Flat-pack furniture absolutely has its place. If you’re furnishing a rental property, need something temporary or are working with a very tight budget, it can be a practical solution.
Bespoke cabinetry is a different investment.
Rather than choosing from standard sizes, every cabinet is designed specifically for your home. I can adjust proportions, maximise storage, work around architectural features and create something that feels completely integrated with the room.
The materials are typically of a much higher quality, the hardware is built to withstand years of daily use, and every detail is carefully considered during the design and manufacturing process.
The goal isn’t simply to create furniture that fits. It’s to create furniture that’s built to last and designed around the way you live.
Is Bespoke Cabinetry More Expensive?
In most cases, yes.
You’re paying for individual design, quality materials, skilled craftsmanship and professional installation. It’s a completely different process from purchasing something that’s been mass produced.
The better question is whether it’s good value.
Quality cabinetry should become part of your home. It should continue to work well, look beautiful and meet your family’s needs for many years. When you look at it over the lifetime of the product, bespoke cabinetry often represents excellent value because it doesn’t need replacing every few years.
Choosing the Right Materials
The materials you choose have a significant impact on both the appearance and longevity of your cabinetry.
Every project is different, which is why I’ll recommend materials based on how the cabinetry will be used, the look you’re trying to achieve and your budget.
Depending on the project, I may use solid timber, timber veneers, premium board products, decorative laminates, painted finishes or natural timber finishes. Just as important are the components you don’t always see, such as quality hardware, drawer runners and hinges. These all contribute to how the cabinetry performs over time.
I also combine traditional craftsmanship with modern CNC technology to manufacture components with exceptional accuracy. Every cabinet is then carefully assembled and finished by hand, resulting in cleaner lines, a more precise fit and consistent quality throughout the finished project.
The right material isn’t always the most expensive one. It’s the one that’s best suited to the job, your home and the way you’ll use it.
